For the 20th year, Florida Challenge Sports Events will be awarding a scholarship to a high school student entering college in the Summer or Fall.
This year the Award in the amount of $600 will be given to a student graduating from high school in May/June 2017.
The Scholarship will be given to a student who demonstrates a high level of cooperation, sportsmanship and fairness in athletic competition, academics, and other aspects of life. Any student who has participated in a Challenge Soccer Tournament either as a player, referee or volunteer is eligible to apply.
- Applicant must be graduating from high school in May/June 2017.
- Applicant must have been accepted or anticipates being accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university.
- Applicant must have participated as a player, volunteer or referee in at least one Challenge Soccer Tournament.
- Applicant must submit 2 letters of recommendation from coach, teacher, administrator, or peer, affirming the applicant’s consistent record of sportsmanship, fair play and positive attitude
