Ocala Lightning U-19 girls - Lauren Raetz

I am 5'7" tall and weigh 135 pounds. I have been playing soccer since age 4, competetively since age 10 for leagues in Georgia and Florida.

I currently play attacking midfielder on a U-19 State Cup team. Last year our Region Cup team finished in the top eight. I play entire games without being substituted. My coach says I understand the game and anticipate well.

In ninth grade I played on my high school's JV girls soccer team. I played primarily midfield and forward. That year our team was the highest scoring and only undefeated JV team in the history of the school. As a sophomore, I moved up to varsity and played outside midfielder. We won our districts.

Every summer I do camps to improve my skills. I've done the Warner camps at Florida State, and the elite soccer camps at the Cocoa Expo and University of Florida.

I am passionate about soccer which I feel helps me to be a good student. My GPA is 4.0/4.55 weighted. I am currently taking 2 AP classes and 3 honors classes. I am a member of The National Honors Society and The National Society of High School Scholars. I plan to study Forensic Science in college.

Playing soccer on a college team is very important to me. However, I know it has to be the right school, the right fit. I hope you will attend one of my games and look for me, #20.

Thank you for your consideration.

Lauren Raetz
