Ormond Beach Challenge (12th Annual)

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

WHAT:  the Ormond Beach CHALLENGE Soccer Tournament

 

WHEN:  Saturday and Sunday January 16/17, 2010, registration/check-in Friday night.

 

WHERE:  Games will be played on the Ormond Beach Soccer Complex, Hull Rd., Ormond Beach, Florida..  Coach Check-in Friday night 6:30 to 8:30, at the Ormond Beach Soccer Complex.

 

WHO:   for BOYS and GIRLS teams from U9 through U14.

U9 & U10 play 6 aside

U11& U12 play 8 aside

U13 & U14 play 11 aside

 

HOW: 

Applications will be taken by mail, online, email or fax.    Teams will not be eligible for "acceptance" to this tournament until the entry fee has been received.  Entry fees received after the deadline date must include the late fee, no exceptions.  Any team not accepted will receive a refund. Any team which withdraws after the application deadline will not be eligible for a refund.   Each team (TEAM CONTACT) will receive all the necessary forms by email and internet.

 

ENTRY FEE

$540 for U13 & U14 (11v11)

$460 for U11 & U12 (8v8)

$390 for U9 & U10 (6v6)

Checks made payable to "ORMOND BEACH SOCCER CLUB" and mailed to 2440 Michigan St., Melbourne, FL 32904

Teams entering after the Deadline Date Dec. 16, must include a $60 late fee with their entry fee.

2009 - 2010 AGE DIVISION BIRTH DATES

U09 -  (8/1/2000 thru 7/31/2001)

U10 -  (8/1/99 thru 7/31/2000)

U11 -  (8/1/98 thru 7/31/99)

U12 -  (8/1/97 thru 7/31/98)

U13 -  (8/1/96 thru 7/31/97)

U14 -  (8/1/95 thru 7/31/96)

 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

A typical schedule will have qualifying matches on Saturday all day and also Sunday morning, with championship matches on Sunday afternoon.

U13 and U14 teams play 11 a side, and may carry up to 18 players on their roster.

U11 and U12 teams play  8 a side and may carry up to 14 players on roster

U09 and U10 teams play 6 a side, and may carry up to 12 players.

Up to 5 guest players will be allowed.  Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

 

Teams, Players and Coaches must be in good standing and registered with their State or National Association.  Players and Coaches must have CURRENT, VALID, VERIFIED PASSES.  Proper travel procedures must be followed.  Each team must submit a ROSTER which has been verified by its State Association, and MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS for each player.  All necessary forms will be provided.  During the tournament, a player may play for one team only.  Click here for rules  >>>  full sided rules

   

HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS

The Tournament committee has arranged for special room rates at a number of local hotels. Each team is responsible for making its own reservations and payment arrangements. We encourage you to stay at our Official Tournament Hotels where game scores and updated tournament information will be available! The Hotel List and maps can be found on the web site.

 

 REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN

A Mandatory Registration/Credentials Check will be held at the Ormond Beach soccer Complex, Friday evening before the tournament.  Team and Player credentials will be verified. Each team must have a representative at Registration.  

 

 COMMUNICATION
