APPLICATION INFORMATION

11th Annual Palm Bay SPRING CHALLENGE

May 3/4, 2008     Palm Bay & Melbourne area, Florida     AGES U8 to U19

  early entry deadline April 3

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

WHERE:  The main site will be the Palm Bay Regional Park soccer complex in Palm Bay, Florida.  Check-in is at the Melbourne Square Mall.

 

WHO:   for BOYS and GIRLS teams from U8 through U19.

U8 U9 & U10 play 6v6

U11& U12 play 8v8

U13 & up play 11v11

 

HOW: 

Applications will be taken by mail, online, email or fax.   Accepted Teams list will be posted on the internet.  Teams will not be eligible for "acceptance" to this tournament until the registration fee has been received.  Entry fees received after the deadline date must include the late fee, no exceptions.  Any team not accepted will receive a refund. Any team which withdraws less than 16 days before the tournament may not be eligible for a refund.   Each team (TEAM CONTACT) will receive all the necessary forms by email and internet.

 

ENTRY FEE

$480 for U13 to U19 (11v11)

$420 for U11 & U12 (8v8)

$360 for U8, U9 & U10 (6v6)

Checks made payable to "Challenge  Sports" and mailed to 2440 Michigan St., Melbourne, FL 32904

Teams entering or paying the entry fee after , April 3, must include a $60 late fee with their entry fee.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games with qualifying matches on Saturday all day and also Sunday morning, with championship matches on Sunday afternoon.  Teams will be separated into Divisions according to  level of play to assure balanced competition

11 a side may carry up to 18 players on their roster.

8 a side may carry up to 14 players.

6 a side may carry up to 12 players.

Up to 3 guest players will be allowed.  Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

  

COMMUNICATIONS

Each team must have an EMAIL and INTERNET contact person – all tournament communications are done by email and internet!   Be sure to include your email address on your application!  All Schedules and Results will be posted on the web site.  Contact us through this link CONTACT US.   We welcome questions and suggestions.

 

HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS

The tournament committee has arranged for special room rates at a number of local hotels.  A hotel list can be viewed on the web site click here.  Each team is responsible for making its own reservations and payment arrangements.  We encourage you to stay at our Official Tournament Hotels which support youth soccer.  Game scores will be faxed to tournament hotels Saturday night.

 

REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN

A mandatory credentials check will be held on Friday evening before the tournament at the Melbourne Square Mall.    Each team must have a representative at check-in
