Challenge Sports Scholarship
For the 11th year, Florida Challenge Sports Events will be awarding two scholarships to high school students entering college in the Fall of 2008. Awards in the amount of $400 will be made to two students graduating from high school in May/June 2008. Scholarships will be given to students who demonstrate a high level of teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship and fair play in athletic competition, academics, and other aspects of their lives.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicant must be graduating from high school in May/June 2008.
2. Applicant must have been accepted or anticipates being accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university.
3. Applicant must have participated as a player, volunteer or referee in at least one Challenge Soccer Tournament.
4. Applicant must submit 2 letters of recommendation from coach, teacher, administrator, or peer, affirming the applicant’s consistent record of sportsmanship, fair play and positive attitude.
