For the 13th year, Florida
Challenge Sports Events will be awarding scholarships to high school students
entering college in the Summer or Fall of 2010.
Awards in the amount of $500 will be made to two or more students graduating from
high school in May/June 2010. Scholarships will be given to
students who demonstrate a high level of teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship
and fair play in athletic competition, academics, and other aspects of their
lives.
Eligibility Criteria:
1.
Applicant must be graduating from high school in
May/June 2010.
2.
Applicant must have been accepted or anticipates being
accepted to an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university.
3.
Applicant must have participated as a player, volunteer
or referee in at least one Challenge Soccer Tournament.
4.
Applicant must submit 2 letters of recommendation
from coach, teacher, administrator, or peer, affirming the applicant’s
consistent record of sportsmanship, fair play and positive attitude.
