Note for U8/9/10 Teams -   A reminder that the rules for 6v6 soccer vary from region to region across the state.  In this tournament, as in most tournaments, U9 and U10 teams will play with the offsides rule.  The U8 Division will play by the same rules as U9/10

Explanation of the three Divisions, National, Continental, and American

Teams are  placed in Divisions based on level of play

National Division is the most experienced and skilled teams among the entries

Continental Division is the next level based on experience and team results

American Division, for the ages with the most entries or the widest range of levels among the entries, the American Division teams are the least experienced

Friday night Check-in   Extended to 9 PM

SHUTTLE LAUNCH DELAYED  Because of the Shuttle Launch, it is possible that there may be more traffic than usual for those coming from North Florida and those coming from the west.    We are hopeful that problems will be minimal, but we have extended check-in to 9:00 to give everyone a little more time.

We suggest that teams coming form the Orlando area or further west take the more southern route and come across on US 192 instead of taking the Beachline (528) to I-95 South.  This should avoid any shuttle traffic

Saturday Tiebreakers for   Odd Numbered Divisions

Divisions with an odd number of teams will play elimination matches Sunday morning based on the ranking of the teams after Saturday's games.

If there is a tie in any of those groups after applying the rules in section 13 of the tournament rules, it will be handled like this

If both coaches agree,  a coin toss can be used to break the tie .

If both coaches do not choose the coin toss, teams will play a 10 minute mini game to break the tie.

Here is the location of the  tiebreakers by age group

U8 Boys  7 teams -  no tiebreaker games needed

U9 Boys  9 teams Ties for 1st/2nd and also for 3rd/4th  were resolved by coin tosses.   Based on the identical records of 1/2 and also of 3/4. there was no apparent advantage/disadvantage to either matchup
